Delegating never works...Greetings from China's capital

Hello to all,

After moving to Beijing in June of last year, I have realized my attempts to delegate the blog duties in that timeframe to Abbey and the kids did not seem to be gaining traction. (Some people are slow to learn)

Therefore, it is my pleasure to re-start entries regarding the "Thoughts from the Throne".
Some of you may be wondering, "what are these thoughts from the throne?" There will be much more to come on this topic.

Briefly, they will be acute and timely insights to the changing nature of the world as we know it, and how this change is occurring in China. The throne while symbolically is a toilet (I do some of my best thinking there) in China it may be more appropriate to have titled it "Thoughts hovering above a hole in the ground"

In any event, that will not deter us from tackling the most challenging and sensitive topics of our time. (Or at least those things that come to me while reading the paper and taking care of nature's call)

So we look forward to reviewing these items on future posts. To family, friends, and those people who somehow stumbled on this page- we wish you the best from China.
